A Call for Schedule

They say if you need to get something done, give it to a busy person and it'll get done. Lately, I have not been that person. Sure, I've been busy. I just haven't been getting enough done.
So, in order to get more work squeezed into the day, I have decided to announce my schedule to the world. I think the culture of accountablity will get me writing, excersizing, and generally doing everything a little better.

Weekdays
------------
5:45a - Jump out of bed and get ready to go to the gym
6:00a - Work out
7:15 a- Be back home and get ready for work. Breakfast, Email, Lunch-making all falls in here.
9:00a -Be at work
6:00p - Leave work. Go home, have dinner, check email, take care of the cat all falls in here.
7:00p- Grab laptop and head out to coffee shop. Write at least one chapter a day or revise broken chapters.
9:00p - Go back home. Spend time with husband, cat and if time, read and watch TV.
10:00p - Lights out!

This waking early and sleeping early worked for me for years and years. I managed to write 2-3 novels a year, while holding down a day job and working out every day.

I can do it again.

WRITING STATUS: Today I wrote Chapter 4 of HOW LIA MET ANA, my newest YA novel.
CURRENTLY READING: The English Inspector and the American Temp by Pat White (love Max!)

Happy Monday!

Wow - that is a TIGHT schedule, my friend. I've been trying to get on the wake-up-early-and-write-before-work thing but it hasn't really worked for me yet. I think it's because I am a sloooow writer and it takes me a while to get into a scene. Plus I aim to hit the gym over lunch, but that's hard too. If you've done it before, you can definitely do it again. Good luck!

Damn, woman! How in the world did you score a work schedule like that? I'm up at 5am, sitting at my desk at work by 7am and not getting home until closer to 6:30pm. What's wrong with this picture? LOL! I am, however, amazed that you can write at least a chapter a DAY with working full time and getting in your workouts. I have to only aim for 1-2 chapters a WEEK. I bow to the master. ;-)

--Sigh--unfortunately, this leaves me little to no time for having any sort of a social life :(

I hate you if you can pull this off. (No offense, just old fashioned jealousy.)
I'm unemployed and I still can't manage to write a chapter a day! At least I do go to the gym. (But i'm getting married, so i have extra incentive.)
Good luck, girl!

How's the sticking-to-the-schedule coming along? (this is the accountability segment of your little plan...he he) I tried to do the morning thing too but have discovered I am useless if I know I have to go to work in an hour or two. I need the luxury of uninteruppted blocks of time that weekends give me.
